With the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus impacting everyone’s lives, the following Muslim organizations are providing relief to the greater community at large. Please reach out to them for any assistance you may need.

Al-Maa’uun

Al-Maa’uun exists to provide neighborly needs and stands as a vanguard against poverty and injustice. We serve as catalysts and partners, supporting the excellent human dignity of individuals and families, in improving their lives and the communities in which we live and serve. As a response the the COVID-19 we are provide meals for youth, 18 years and under and seniors and those with a documented disability.

Building Blocks of Islam

We aim to play an active role in alleviating the suffering of those in need in the community. Recognizing the emphasis Islam places on charity and caring for others, we are Muslims who care and we embrace the responsibility of helping the less fortunate as enjoined upon us by the Quran and Islamic traditions. Our Social Services are open to all people regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, creed or any other discriminatory factor prohibited by law.

Khidma Initiative

With the rise of COVID-19, and the danger it poses especially to the elderly and immunocompromised, we realize that those who are vulnerable and most at-risk may struggle to get the basic food and supplies they need. Through a network of volunteers and partnerships with local organizations, Khidma plans to deliver basic food and essential supply kits to those populations.

Northwest Islamic Community Center (NWICC)/Masjid al-Kareem

Community Care program aims to contribute services for individuals or families with the support they need to carve out a better future for themselves, their families and the communities they live in.

The program offers limited short-term financial assistance to the neediest in the community in the form of gift cards (Aldi, Wal-Mart, Target, Cub Foods etc.)

ZACAH

Zakat, Aid and Charity Assisting Humanity (ZACAH) is a Minnesota based, 501c(3), non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to the collection and distribution of Zakat and Sadaqah (charity) to anyone in need in our Minnesota community.
