MMLC Definition:
We are a coalition of the willing! A group of Muslim leaders, both men and women, that strives to represent the diversity of the Muslims of Minnesota. As representatives of our various organizations, we strive for unity, cooperation and mutual consultation upon the Qur’anic principle of promoting good and forbidding wrong. We strive to be open, inclusive and transparent in our interactions with one another. We value both the leveraging of our Muslim networks, as well as broader institutions to address the critical needs and amplify voices of the MN Muslim community. The MMLC is non-hierarchical, yet we will design our efforts to meet our objectives in an effective and efficient manner. We strive to build consensus, but our unity doesn’t require that we all agree on every point. It is our sincerest intentions to be pleasing to Allah and serve the MN Muslim community.
